Niharika obtained her Bachelors (Hons.) degree in Biotechnology at Amity Institute of Biotechnology (India). She completed her Masters in Bioinformatics and M.Phil in Plant Molecular Biology at University of Delhi, India. Then, she moved to Australia to pursue PhD at University of Melbourne where she investigated developmental dynamics of male and female gametophyte transcriptome in Marchantia polymorha using RNA-Seq approach. With background of computational biology and plant molecular biology, she joined ACPFG in 2014 and her current research is focussed on transcriptomics of cereal crops for abiotic stress tolerance.
